Semco Finish Sealant Protector Sealer

Semco Finish Sealant Protector Sealer

For anyone that's tried to clean teak, you will thank me for this. I spent 8 hours trying to scrub, then oil my teak bench. I used expensive teak cleaner. I still had 9 more pieces to go and the bench didn't look very good. I then figured out how its done.

Get some TSP (Tri-sodium phosphate) from Lowes (or any hardware store). Mix it with water in a 1 gal pump sprayer as per the directions on the TSP container and spray liberally on the furniture. Wait about 5 minutes, then use a power washer on the lowest velocity nozzle. The dirt and greying will come off instantly and you will have beautiful blonde teak.

After the wood dries, some streaking will be evident..Don't worry!!!! Let the furniture dry for a few days, then use the pump sprayer the apply the Senco Teak sealant. The honey tone covers any streaking that had been there and the furniture will look brand new. I'm not kidding. My family thought we had gotten new furniture!

  1. It's the best product out there for teak. My teak furniture is approaching 17 years old and each year I can bring it back to life with this product. After a thorough cleaning with Teak Wonder Brand Cleaner and a lite sanding, I apply this product simply and easily with a sponge applicator. Start to finish it takes about 30 minutes per piece. Easy pleezy! Also, the Honey Tone color is nearest to the original tone of my Kingsley Bates furniture.

  2. I used this to seal all my teak furniture. While I can't speak to the durability yet (has only been a few weeks), I can say that this product goes on very easily. It is fairly watery and is easily absorbed. You will need to stir it periodically to maintain a consistent and even color. The honey tone is perfect for teak. So far, it has performed well. I am on the ocean, so the weather can be brutal. While it has only been a few weeks, we have had some strong sun and rain. So far, no signs of fade and the rain seems to bead well.
