After moving, we emptied the existing can of Formby's Almond Lustre, and could find NONE locally. Amazon had the resources, and the product is well worth the price of shipping.
I don't use this product on all our furniture - most of it's not worth it. I do have my Grandmother's set of Mahogany bedroom furniture, and on these pieces this product is perfect. The surface of this furniture absorbs routine oil treatments, but then gets cloudy and shows oily cracks in the finish. If after oiling, I give a good spray and rub down with the Almond Lustre, it "finishes" the surface of this furniture. The beautiful old mahogany pieces then glow with an even, low-lustre gleam that is lovely, and dusts beautifully. I haven't found any other product that even comes close. And the fragrance is nice - a subtle almond-nut that blends nicely with the wood smell. Highly recommended.

Over the years (I am 64 years of age) I have used many different furniture polishes but Formby's Almond Lustre is by far the best. It has a very pleasant fragrance and adds a nice shine to the furniture without making the furniture greasy. I highly recommend this product and hope that they continue to manufacture it.

BalasHapusI have used Formby's products for many years. This is the finest wood polish I've found. No wax build-up, EVER! No smearing. The fresh light almond fragrance doesn't shout: "I've just waxed my tables". Well worth the modest price. Formby's Almond Lustre And Citrus Lustre
BalasHapusIf your furniture has layers of wax, they also make wood cleaning products. Get all the old wax off and start over with Formby's Almond Lustre. They also have great line of products to re-finish a found treasure or family heirloom.
We have used this for years on wood throughout our home. Everything but the floors. The aroma is pleasant and not overpowering. I won't let our housecleaners or any of the family use anything else. We use it on some pieces that are 100 years old. We do have one recently acquired french antique that is older that our dealer insists we use beeswax on so I haven't tried Formby's Almond on that yet but I am very tempted as I think we've seen better results on everything else in the house. Impossible to find locally. We've searched and searched and can't find it anywhere in the local bay area.
BalasHapusI tried this polish which was recommended by a friend and it is wonderful. The furniture looks great. Polish goes on evenly and seems like it covers little flaws in the wood. Th almond gives the furniture a wonderul clean smell after polishing. I highly recommend this product.
BalasHapusI love this product. No one in my area carries it, so I have to order it on line. It smells great and really takes care of my solid cherry furniture. I can't be without it!!!
BalasHapusThis stuff is wonderful. I've used it for many years. It's non-greasy, doesn't leave streaks, use sparingly and buff hard to a beautiful shine. The almond smell stays in the house and the furniture looks great.
