The chair is even better than expected. In fact, we liked it so much that we immediately ordered another one! The chair comes completely assembled and is very comfortable. We have the matching couch on order and it should arrive mid-week; I'll try to write a quick review when it comes in if I remember.
Before we bought this chair, we shopped around town and sat in a number of similar resin-wicker chairs and sectionals. But they were generally much more expensive than this one, and that's before delivery and set-up charges. While some were very plush and comfortable, others almost pushed you forward out of the chair or weren't deep enough. So we were a little nervous about buying this chair without being able to test it out first.
This chair is a good balance between sitting back and sitting up, plus it's deep enough you can sit back with a child on your lap and still be comfortable. What we especially like about this one is that the top of the arms are flat, meaning that you can set a drink, a book, or an iPhone on the arm. It's like having a built-in side table. You can't beat it for the price it looks good too.

REALLY pleased with this set. Got the chaise lounge, chair, ottoman, and side table. Construction quality seems good, items are pretty light weight but sturdy.
BalasHapusSprayed all cushions with scotchgard waterproofing as soon as I got them - that is some nasty stuff! Don't breathe it in. Only slight negative is the ottoman should use velcro to attach the cushion to the base, it slides off easily and I am sure would blow off in a stiff breeze.
One more thing - Amazon PLEASE make a round ying/yang daybed set in this Strathwood Griffen line, and sell it for $599! I got the Lexmod unit and it is nice but does not exactly match this set. Had Amazon sold a similar, matching item I would've purchased it in a heartbeat.
At 32 inches wide, 32 inches deep and 30 inches tall, this chair has proven easily able to comfortably accommodate people weighing 300 pounds and more. It's made of a artificial resin which should hold up better than actual wicker, which will tend to split and crack over time. The chair is a lovely chocolate brown color and the cushions and throw pillow are a soft cream color. The cushions are firm, but not uncomfartably so. I just wish the company that sells these would make a nice matching footstool to go with the chair. It's a relatively light 21 pounds, and can be moved around easily. I've sat in this chair for up to 2 hours at a time, and my cats have whiled away an entire afternoon sleeping on it. This is a great chair. Two paws up!
BalasHapusPatio furniture can be really expensive, especially when you're buying a multi-piece set, and this Strathwood set from Amazon is really the best set in its price range. We got two of this chair plus the couch and coffee table for under a thousand. The resin wicker seems durable, it's more stretchy than stiff, and the cushions are comfortable in a nice neutral color. Very lightweight, so there could be some concerns about wear and tear, but this is a great set for a porch. Shipping is very fast, we got it the day after ordering with Prime.
BalasHapusReceived this using my prime membership within 2 days. Box came in great condition via UPS. Chair was secured inside the box. What a wonderful surprise when I got the chair out of the box. The chair is well made. It came without any defects. Looks like I imagined and more. Nice and sturdy for the price. Neutral colors work well with my patio. Cushions and pillow are zippered and machine washable. Don't expect a tight weave like you see on more expensive sets; however it looks very good.

BalasHapusOverall it is a very well built, quality chair - and is really, really comfortable. Packaging is a breeze - no assembly or anything complicated. I was pretty surprised at how nice it was considering the price. But we're very pleased with the purchase. The cushion is a nice color (kind of a cream) and seems to be pretty durable. The pillow is almost unnecessary in my opinion, and I might even say it kind of gets in the way. It's easy enough to set it aside.
For the price, you can't beat this chair. All in all, a great purchase.
